When Greg Brown was bashed and left for dead on a railway platform in 1988, he was given a 5% chance of survival.
The brain injuries he sustained during a robbery gone wrong, were so serious they have confined Greg to a wheelchair for the last 30 years of his life. The men who bashed Greg got away with two dollars and five cents, and the boots Greg had on his feet that night.
Greg is now 51 years old, a die-hard Roosters supporter, and an active member of his local Sydney community. This is thanks to Greg’s mental toughness, as well as the care he receives from his Care1 support team, who are proud to give Greg – and many others like him – access to a quality of life that was once unimaginable.
