Janice Eldridge was a keen motorcyclist back in “her day”. She rode a Honda 750 Shadow, and she loved that bike! In 2012 Janice was in a motorcycle accident on her way to the NSW country town of Young, when she sustained a catastrophic brain injury that left her unable to walk or talk.
Before her accident, Janice ran the local pub in her hometown of Murrumburrah in NSW. She was also an active member of her local community, often taking – in what turned out to be a twist of fate – disabled children out and about in the local area.
To this day, despite significant rehabilitation and care from her dedicated team of support workers and her ever-present daughter Alison, Janice can still only speak a handful of words. Some of those words include, “I love you,” which she says often to her loving daughter
